The Ascended Heroes booster bundle is one of the simplest ways to open the biggest special expansion of the Mega Evolution era. Each bundle contains six booster packs, with no extras to pay for, which makes it popular with collectors who want packs rather than accessories.
In this guide we cover what is inside the Ascended Heroes booster bundle, what the set is known for, how the bundle compares with other Ascended Heroes products, and how to get the most from your packs.
What Is in the Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle?
The contents are straightforward:
- 6 Pokemon TCG: Mega Evolution, Ascended Heroes booster packs
- Each pack contains 10 cards and 1 Basic Energy
- Cards vary by pack
The Ascended Heroes booster bundle was one of the later products in the set’s release schedule. The expansion launched on 30 January 2026, while the booster bundle followed on 24 April 2026.
About the Ascended Heroes Expansion
Ascended Heroes is a special expansion that celebrates the stars of the Scarlet and Violet era alongside the dawn of Mega Evolution. It is led by Mega Dragonite ex and is one of the largest English sets in years, with over 290 cards.
Set highlights
- More than 290 cards in total
- New Mega Evolution Pokemon ex, including Mega Dragonite ex
- Trainer’s Pokemon and Stellar Tera Pokemon ex returning from Scarlet and Violet
- More than 30 Trainer cards
Because it is a special set, Ascended Heroes was not released as a 36-pack booster box in English. That is why products like the booster bundle and the Elite Trainer Box became the main way to open it.
Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle vs Other Products
Ascended Heroes was released in several waves. Here is how the bundle compares with the other main options.
Elite Trainer Box
The Elite Trainer Box contains nine booster packs plus sleeves, Energy, dice and a storage box. It costs more, but it suits players who want accessories.
Tech Sticker Collection
This smaller product includes a foil promo card featuring Charmander or Gastly, a sticker sheet and three booster packs. It is a fun gift for younger fans.
Premium Poster Collection
The poster collections include ten booster packs, a double-sided poster and a foil promo of Mega Lucario ex or Mega Gardevoir ex.
Which should you buy?
If you only want packs, the Ascended Heroes booster bundle is usually the most direct choice. If you want promos and accessories, look at the Elite Trainer Box or a collection box. Compare the price per pack before you decide.
Why Mega Dragonite ex Leads the Set
Dragonite has been a fan favourite since the original 151, and its Mega Evolution gives the set a powerful, friendly face. Mega Dragonite ex is the card most collectors hope to see when they open a pack, and its special artwork versions are among the set’s top chase cards. Players also like it because Mega Evolution Pokemon ex hit hard, although your opponent takes three Prize cards when one is Knocked Out.
A celebration of two eras
Ascended Heroes bridges Scarlet and Violet and the new Mega Evolution era. You will find Trainer’s Pokemon, which show a Trainer and their partner fighting together, plus Stellar Tera Pokemon ex with their shining crystal look. For collectors who enjoyed Scarlet and Violet, the set feels like a greatest hits album with new Mega cards added on top.
Who is the booster bundle for?
- Collectors who want packs without paying for accessories
- Players who already own sleeves, dice and deck boxes
- Friends who want to split packs evenly
- Parents looking for a simple, sealed gift
Tips for Opening Your Ascended Heroes Packs
With such a large set, it can take a while to complete. These tips help:
- Sort every pack by collector number as you open.
- Sleeve every Mega Evolution Pokemon ex and special illustration straight away.
- Keep a checklist so you know which cards you still need.
- Trade duplicates with friends rather than buying more packs.
- Buy singles for the last few cards, which is usually cheaper than chasing them.
Protecting your pulls
Large sets mean lots of holos and full-art cards. Have a pack of premium card sleeves and a few toploaders ready, and store the rest of your collection in a 9-pocket card binder so the pages stay flat.
Is the Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle Worth It?
For many collectors, yes. A booster bundle gives you a meaningful number of packs from a set that has no booster box, without paying for accessories you may not need. It is also an easy size to share. Two friends can split a bundle three packs each and compare pulls.
The main thing to remember is that prices for special sets can move quickly after release. Shop around, compare the cost per pack and buy from a store you trust.

Building a Master Set From Booster Bundles
A master set includes every card in the set plus every reverse holo version. With more than 290 cards, Ascended Heroes is a big project. If you are serious about finishing it, plan ahead:
- Open bundles for the bulk of the main set and reverse holos.
- Track progress with a checklist or a collection app.
- Swap duplicates at your local league.
- Buy the final secret rares as singles once prices settle.
Storing a set this size needs a large binder. A zippered 9-pocket binder holds up to 360 sleeved cards, which is ideal for the main set.
