Pokemon Jirachi in the Trading Card Game
Most Pokemon Jirachi cards are Basic Pokemon with modest HP. Rather than being big attackers, they usually support your other Pokemon with useful Abilities or attacks that help you draw cards, search your deck or protect your Bench.
Why Jirachi works as a support Pokemon
Jirachi fits into many decks because it is a Basic Pokemon with no Energy requirements for its Ability. You can play it straight onto your Bench and use its effect right away. In the Team Up era, players paired it with tools that reduced its Retreat Cost, so they could use the Ability and then switch to an attacker.
Checking the current format
